Eradication of Helicobacter pylori can accelerate the healing of gastroduodenal ulcers, improve the quality of life of patient, reduce the frequency of relapses. However, it does not cure the disease, since Helicobacter pylori is not an oblig ate-pathogenic but a conditionally-pathogenic microorgan ism. Therefore, the strategy of eradication therapy in patients with the diseases associated with conditional-pathogenic microorganisms, including Helicobacter pylori , might be irra tional.
