Treatment of musculoskeletal pain during COVID-19 pandemics.

Musculoskeletal pain is one of the most common causes of visits to physicians. It results in temporal disability and is associated with a significant burden for the healthcare system and the society. During pandemics of COVID-19, limited physical activity and psychological stress were associated with an increased incidence of musculoskeletal pain and its chronic course. Multidisciplinary approaches that include both pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy are essential for effective management of musculoskeletal pain. The review article describes treatment of patients with musculoskeletal pain including the use of nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs with focus on clinical studies of aceclofenac that is widely used in Russia and other countries.
