Nephrotic syndrome: treatment and prevention of complications
Download in PDFNephrotic syndrom (NS) that frequently occurs in patients with various glomerular disease can cause serious and even life-threatening complications including diuretic-resistant oedema, hypovolemic shock, venous and arterial thromboembolism, and infections. Moreover, high proteinuria and dyslipidemia in patients with NS may contribute to progression of chronic kidney disease. The authors review treatment of NS and prevention of its complications.
